IFRS 18: In Focus

CA Sri Lanka Kuwait Chapter proudly hosted its "IFRS 18: In Focus" technical session combined with a soft skills development session on 16 October 2026 at the Millennium Hotel, Salmiya.
 
We were deeply honored by the presence of His Excellency Lakshitha Ratnayake, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Kuwait, whose participation added great significance to the event.
 
Our technical session on IFRS 18 – Presentation and Disclosure in Financial Statements was delivered by resource persons from Deloitte Kuwait - Joe John, Partner, and Thomas Jacob, Director. The session covered the key changes, practical insights, and the expected impact on financial reporting as entities prepare for its effective date.
 
This was followed by a soft skills development session led by DTM Vishal Edward, DTM Bindu John, and DTM Mohamed Shiraz Razeen, who shared valuable perspectives to support the professional growth of our members and students.

Al Muzaini Exchange Co. Kuwait extended their generous support on successful completion of the event, and their representatives and other resource person were appreciated by the Executive Committee.
